Overheated, overburned and uneven temperature can easily cause forging failure, so what can be done to remedy it?
Heating temperature is too high or high temperature stay time is too long easy to cause overheat, overburn. Overheat reduces the plasticity and impact toughness of the material. The grain boundary of the material is severely oxidized or melted when it is burned, and the deformation ability is completely lost.
When the heating temperature distribution is seriously uneven, it appears as a large temperature difference between inside and outside the forging blank, positive and negative sides, and along the length, causing uneven deformation during forging, eccentric forging and other defects, also known as underheat.
The response is:
(L) Strict application of proper heating codes;
2) Pay attention to the furnace method to prevent local heating;
3) Tuning temperature measuring instruments, careful heating operation, control furnace temperature, furnace gas flow, to prevent uneven heating.
